La Gota de Sabiduría

The crystal drop, the central element of this piece, symbolizes knowledge in its purest, most fluid and continuous state. Just as a drop of water nourishes the earth, this drop represents the wisdom that alumni have absorbed during their time at the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico and that they now take to the world, expanding their impact beyond the classrooms.

Rising from a base that evokes the foundations of the historic stairs of the San Germán campus, the drop connects the present with the past. Just as the stairs have withstood the passage of time, the knowledge and values that the university imparts endure in each generation of graduates, who build their future on these solid foundations.

The official Logo of the Alumni Association, firmly placed under the drop, highlights the intrinsic relationship between the institution and its distinguished alumni, those who with their excellence continue to take the name of the university to new heights.

This sculpture is a reflection of the journey of learning, perseverance and personal growth. Each drop represents not only the accumulation of knowledge, but also the spark that ignites the transformation of alumni into leaders in their communities.
